Mick Van Ettinger (Executive Vice President, Tea – Unilever)
LoveTea is a truly incredible venture that could change how we all think of and buy tea today. Which is why we're backing it to do big things in 2018
Joyce Maina (Tea Master for 27 Years)
This project has tremendous potential to make a great positive impact on the lives of tea growing communities in Malawi and Kenya while also bringing you some of the best teas from these countries.
Stephen Rapoport, (Founder – Pact Coffee)
I’m a huge believer in direct trade as a way to unlock incredible quality products, whilst empowering growers in developing countries. LoveTea is another example of this world-changing model in action and I’m proud to support them.
OUR UNIQUE PLAN
To build the UK’s first tea cooperative, connecting tea drinkers with tea producers, and rethinking the journey from crop to cup to get a fairer deal for all. Our mission is to make tea a force for good, and in doing so help lift some of the poorest tea-growing communities in Malawi out of poverty, and onto a sustainable living wage and more.
80% of us in the UK drink tea at least twice a day, but very little value from the supply chain is passed on to consumers and producers. We want to change that, and make your daily brew one that’s kind to pocket, people and planet - starting with our exclusive premium English Breakfast Tea sourced directly from our incredible suppliers in Kenya and Malawi.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Your feedback will be invaluable in shaping what LoveTea looks like as we build and develop the business. Right now we’re hoping to launch in November of this year, with a Kickstarter campaign to crowdsource enough tea to fill a shipping container, direct from Malawi.
We believe that tea can be a force for good. We want to put the power back in the hands of tea drinkers like you, and tea farmers. It means the world for you to come on this journey with us.
George and Jack, LoveTea Founders
We’re LoveTea, a small group of passionate tea lovers who believe in one thing: drinking incredible quality tea shouldn’t cost you the earth, and nor should it screw the people or planet that grew it.
We have just begun our journey to become the world's first genuine tea cooperative. Harnessing the purchasing power of thousands of tea drinkers across the UK, we want to crowd-source enough cash to purchase a directly traded container of tea, fresh from the independent tea farm we work with in Malawi.
